What is a word cloud used for?
A word cloud condenses a body of text into an at-a-glance picture of its most frequent terms. Teachers use them to summarise readings, product teams use them on customer feedback, and presenters use them to make a data slide more engaging.

What is a word cloud?
A word cloud, also called a tag cloud, is a visual representation of text where each word's size reflects how often it appears. It is used to quickly show the dominant themes in feedback, articles, speeches or survey responses.
How is word size calculated?
Each word is counted, and its font size is scaled proportionally to its frequency relative to the most common word. Very rare words are dropped once the maximum-words limit is reached.
Can I remove common words like "the"?
Yes. The "remove common words" option filters out a standard English stop-word list (the, a, and, of, to, is and around 150 others) so only meaningful words are shown.
Can I download the word cloud?
Yes, you can export it as a PNG raster image for slides and documents, or as an SVG vector for print and further editing.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. The word cloud is generated entirely in your browser, so your text stays private.
